Signature contest holes
Two holes carry their own side bets on the board — pick your winners before betting closes:
- No. 6Longest Drive — a downhill par 5 (up to 575 yds) built for bombers. Favor the left off the tee to dodge the right-side hazard, then let the big dog eat.
- No. 16Closest to the Pin — a short uphill par 3 (~125–160 yds) that plays longer than the card says. Stick it close and stay below the hole.
The course
Founded in 1924, York Golf Club is a classic, century-old parkland layout on North High Street in Columbus, Ohio — a tree-lined members' club blending more than 100 years of tradition with a friendly, family feel. It's the kind of track that rewards a plan: tight-ish, framed fairways put a premium on keeping the ball in play, and the small, subtle greens ask for a sharp short game rather than raw power.

The setting: North Columbus & Worthington
York sits along North High Street in northern Columbus, on the doorstep of historic Worthington — one of central Ohio's oldest communities, founded in 1803. It's a tree-canopied, New England–rooted village just north of the city, and a fitting backdrop for a family tournament built on tradition.
2025: The Inaugural Open
Delaware Golf Club · Champion: Colin
The very first Greenhalge Open was played up the road at Delaware Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. When the dust settled, Colin lifted the inaugural trophy — and heads into 2026 as the defending champion with a target on his back.
